Lina is a gender and conflict specialist and evaluation expert with two MSc in Sustainable Development (SOAS) and Evaluation of Social Programmes (Universidad de Los Andes). She has over 15 years of experience in designing, implementing and evaluating projects in fragile countries and conflict settings. Lina was the Head of Programme for the UK Conflict, Security and Stabilisation Programmes covering East African and South Asia, and led multiple evaluations focusing on gender equality, violence against women, mixed-migration, community-based protection, conflict resolution and peacebuilding. She was also the Information Management Coordinator for the Danish Refugee Council’s LAC Protection programme, where she lead the data analysis of two publications centred on the information gaps of the protection response in Latin America. Her experience includes working with UN agencies (UNDP, UN Women, UNHCR), donors (UK FCDO, Sweden’s SIDA, Netherlands’ MFA, USAID) and multitude of INGOs. Lina is also part Oxfam Consults Roster for MEAL experts, as well as the UK Stabilisation Unit Conflict and Gender Cadre, the UNDP Crisis Bureau Cadre and ITAD MEAL Experts. Lina is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and has working experience in French.
